Car accident in New Mexico claims seven lives

A car accident, whether in Albuquerque, New Mexico or elsewhere, can pose an equal amount of danger to the driver, his or her passengers, and other motorists. The after effects of such an event can last a lifetime and can include serious injury, considerable pain and suffering and possibly even permanent disability and death. That is why one should always try to avoid an automobile accident at all costs.

Last month, Interstate 10 in New Mexico was the site of a terrible accident involving as many as eight vehicles. According to New Mexico state police, there were three tractor-trailers and three passenger cars involved in the fiery crash which killed seven people, at least six of whom were from Arizona. The accident did not take place very far from the Arizona border.

So far, the authorities have released the identities of six of the deceased. The name of the seventh person has not been confirmed yet. The accident was the result of a chain reaction collision, which typically involves one car colliding with another with both going out of control, followed by a third car colliding with the second and a fourth colliding with the third and so on. As of now, authorities seem to believe that the collision had been triggered by a sudden dust storm.

If one or more of the drivers in this, or any other, accident are found to be responsible for the crash, then family members of the deceased may be able to seek compensation from them by claiming damages before a court of law. While any legal action will not bring their loved ones back, it can help compensate them for their medical and funereal expenses.
